We are seeking an experienced Senior PostgreSQL Database Administrator with 5+ years of hands-on experience administering, supporting, and maintaining PostgreSQL database environments.

The ideal candidate will have solid knowledge of PostgreSQL architecture, installation, configuration, replication, backup and recovery, high availability, performance tuning, upgrades, and production troubleshooting.

The candidate will be responsible for supporting large-scale, high-transaction, mission-critical PostgreSQL database environments and ensuring database availability, reliability, performance, security, and recoverability.

The role requires hands-on experience deploying and managing PostgreSQL databases in AWS settings, including both Amazon EC2 and Amazon RDS, as well as monitoring database and infrastructure health using AWS CloudWatch.

The candidate should also be proficient in automating routine database administration and operational activities using Shell or Python scripting.

Roles & Responsibilities

Install, configure, administer, maintain, and support PostgreSQL database environments.





Manage PostgreSQL databases across development, testing, staging, and production environments.

Maintain highly available and reliable PostgreSQL database platforms supporting business-critical applications.

Provide administration and operational support for large-scale PostgreSQL database infrastructure handling high volumes of transactions.

Understand and work with PostgreSQL architecture, including memory components, background processes, database processes, storage structures, and overall PostgreSQL database operations.
