Role & responsibilities:

Job Title: Special Educator

Location: Diamond Jubilee High School, Mumbai

Key Responsibilities
Identify and support students with diverse learning needs, including learning disabilities, developmental delays, and other special educational needs.
Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers, parents, and school leadership.
Provide individualized and small-group instruction to help students achieve their learning goals.
Conduct assessments, monitor student progress, and maintain accurate documentation.
Collaborate with classroom teachers to adapt curriculum, teaching strategies, and assessments to meet students' needs.
Guide teachers on inclusive classroom practices and appropriate accommodations.
Work closely with parents to provide regular updates and strategies to support learning at home.
Coordinate with counsellors, therapists, and external specialists whenever required.
Promote an inclusive, supportive, and student-centered learning setting.
Stay updated with inclusive education practices, CBSE guidelines,



and relevant educational policies.

Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a relevant field.
B.Ed. (Special Education) or Diploma in Special Education (recognized by the appropriate regulatory authority).
Valid registration with the relevant qualified body, where applicable.
Minimum 25 years of experience as a Special Educator, preferably in a CBSE school.
Sound knowledge of inclusive education, learning disabilities, and intervention strategies.
Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
