We are looking for an experienced and agile Design - TL to lead our Engineering & Design Department. The candidate will be responsible for concept development, detailed engineering, innovation, and timely execution of Special Purpose Machines (SPM), robotic cells, and turnkey automation projects.
Lead Mechanical, Electrical, and Automation design teams.
Develop creative machine concepts based on customer requirements.
Approve detailed design drawings, 3D models, and calculations.
Ensure project timelines for design release are met.
Optimize design for cost, manufacturability, and performance.
Oversee motor sizing, gearbox selection, pneumatic circuits, and cycle time calculations.
Conduct design reviews and technical discussions with customers.
Implement design standards and documentation systems.
Support machine trials, debugging, and commissioning.
Mentor and develop design engineers.
Preferred candidate profile
Solid experience in SPM and industrial automation design.
Hands-on expertise in SolidWorks /Solid Edge/AutoCAD / Inventor
Knowledge of GD&T;, tolerance stack-up, and FMEA.
Experience with pneumatics, servo systems, gear mechanisms.
Understanding of robotics integration is an advantage.
Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills.
