Key Responsibilities
Design and develop Press Tools, Jigs, and Fixtures according to production requirements.
Prepare detailed 2D manufacturing drawings and 3D CAD models using AutoCAD and standard 3D design software.
Perform design calculations, material selection, and tolerance analysis for tooling components.
Collaborate with production and quality teams to troubleshoot design-related tooling issues on the shop floor.
Modify and optimize existing tool designs to improve manufacturing efficiency and tool life.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D modeling tools (e.g., Creo, SolidWorks, or NX).
In-depth understanding of press tooling operations (blanking, piercing, bending, progressive tools).
Expertise in designing welding, assembly, or machining Jigs & Fixtures.
Solid knowledge of GD&T;, tool materials, and heat treatment processes.
