Role Overview
We are looking for a highly experienced and self-driven SAP ABAP Technical Lead who can independently own end-to-end technical solution delivery across multiple SAP modules.
The role requires solid hands-on ABAP expertise along with technical leadership, solution architecture, performance optimization, stakeholder management, cross-functional coordination, and proactive problem-solving.
The candidate will act as a technical point of contact, lead technical discussions, drive design decisions, coordinate with Basis, Security, Functional and Integration teams, and ensure high-quality technical delivery with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
Lead end-to-end technical design, development and delivery of SAP solutions.
Independently own technical workstreams and deliverables.
Translate business requirements into scalable SAP technical solutions.
Conduct technical reviews and mentor junior developers.
Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards.
Identify technical risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
Estimate development effort and support technical planning.
Act as the technical escalation point for complex issues.
SAP ABAP Development
Robust hands-on experience in:
Classical ABAP and Object-Oriented ABAP (OO ABAP)
Reports and ALV
CDS Views
AMDP
Enhancement Framework
BAdIs, User Exits, Implicit and Explicit Enhancements
Adobe Forms, SmartForms and SAPScript
Dialog Programming
Workflow enhancements
BAPI / RFC development
Function Modules
Technical specifications and RICEFW development
Strong understanding of RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model) is preferred.
Development of Fiori OData services using SAP Gateway
Performance Optimization & Debugging
Must have robust troubleshooting and performance-tuning expertise:
Advanced ABAP debugging
Runtime Analysis – SAT
SQL Trace – ST05
SQL Monitor
Memory analysis
Update task troubleshooting
Background job troubleshooting
