Insurance Verification & Eligibility: Confirming active patient coverage, deductibles, co-pays, waiting periods, and frequency limitations prior to procedures.
Dental Coding Knowledge: Understanding CDT codes (Current Dental Terminology) used to categorize dental treatments and procedures.
Payer Portal & Clearinghouse Navigation: Using web portals and electronic data interchange (EDI) platforms to check claims, advantages, and Explanation of Perks (EOB) documents.
Practice Management Software: Familiarity with tools like Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, or Denticon
