US Tax Professional

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced US Tax Professional with strong expertise in individual tax preparation and the ability to independently handle complex US tax returns. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with Form 1040, Lacerte, and various schedules, preferably within a CPA firm or US tax-season environment.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review US Individual Tax Returns Form 1040 with accuracy and attention to detail.
Handle complex tax returns involving:
Schedule C Business Income
Schedule E Rental & Other Income
Capital Gains & Losses
Investment Income
Rental Properties
Multi-State Tax Returns
Review tax documents and supporting information to identify missing or inconsistent data.
Independently prepare tax returns with minimal supervision.
Research and resolve tax-related issues as required.
Ensure returns are complete, accurate, and prepared within applicable deadlines.
Support CPA firms during the US tax season and manage assigned returns efficiently.
Coordinate with team members and stakeholders to obtain required information and resolve queries.

Required Skills & Experience




Minimum 5 years of relevant US Tax experience; more experience preferred.
Solid hands-on experience preparing Form 1040 individual tax returns.
Mandatory hands-on experience with Lacerte tax software.
Robust understanding of complex individual tax returns and related schedules.
Experience with Schedule C, Schedule E, capital gains, investments, rental properties, and multi-state returns.
Ability to independently review documents, identify missing information, and complete tax returns with minimal supervision.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
Prior experience working with or supporting US CPA firms during tax season is preferred.

Comfortable handling complex returns independently.
Solid knowledge of US tax concepts and documentation requirements.
Able to work effectively under US tax-season deadlines.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
