Plant Operations and Monitoring
Oversee daily functioning of treatment units like aeration, filtration, clarification, and chemical dosing.
Control water parameters such as pH, COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand), BOD (Biological Oxygen Demand), and TSS (Total Suspended Solids).
Manage biological health, nutrient cycles, and sludge handling systems. [1, 2]

Maintenance and Troubleshooting
Coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance for pumps, blowers, motors, and pipelines.
Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation or PLC/SCADA issues.
Ensure adequate stock of treatment chemicals, consumables, and spare parts. [1, 2]

Compliance and Documentation
Ensure strict adherence to Pollution Control Board (PCB/SPCB/CPCB) discharge norms and environmental laws.
Maintain statutory logs, daily operation reports,



and laboratory testing data.
Facilitate internal and external regulatory audits and inspections. [1, 2, 3]

Team Leadership and Safety
Lead and supervise site engineers, technicians, and plant operators.
Prepare shift rosters, duty schedules, and conduct safety training.
Enforce safety protocols, including confined space entry and chemical handling safety. [1, 2]

Cost and Resource Management
Monitor operational budgets, energy consumption, and optimize chemical usage.
Track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to improve plant efficiency and reduce costs. [1, 2]
