Role & Responsibilities
Business & Engineering Leadership
Lead and drive business initiatives across Design, Quality, Testing, Materials, Manufacturing and Productivity.
Develop and implement effective mechanisms to deliver outputs in line with overall business objectives.
Formulate and implement plans to achieve technical requirements, project schedules and contractual commitments.
Electrical Design & Engineering
Responsible for the timely release of electrical design information for the complete range of Distribution and Power Transformers.
Lead the development and execution of Power Transformer tender and contract designs, ensuring compliance with customer specifications and company design standards/norms.
Coordinate closely with Commercial, Sourcing and Tendering teams for tender and contract execution activities.
Project & Technical Management
Monitor project progress and communicate project status, business issues and significant developments to relevant stakeholders.
Ensure proper documentation and maintenance of technical data and engineering records for assigned projects/tasks.
Ensure timely completion of engineering deliverables as per project schedules and customer requirements.
Customer & Stakeholder Management
Meet and interact with customers for technical discussions, brand promotion, training, seminars and resolution of technical issues.
Coordinate effectively with the Head Office / overseas engineering team on technical and project-related matters.
Preferred Candidate Profile
Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE) or Mechanical Engineering.
Experience: 20+ years of relevant experience in the Power & Distribution Transformer industry.
Solid hands-on experience in Transformer Design and Engineering, particularly in Power Transformers up to 315 MVA and 400 kV.
Experience in tender design, contract execution design, customer specifications and engineering coordination.
Robust leadership, project management, customer interaction and cross-functional coordination skills.
Candidates with experience handling large Power Transformer projects and technical teams will be preferred.
