We are looking for a BIW Fixture Design Engineer with 2–5 years of relevant experience in automotive fixture design. The ideal candidate should have robust hands-on experience in BIW fixture concept designing and be capable of developing fixture concepts as per customer and manufacturing requirements.

Key Responsibilities
Develop BIW fixture concepts for automotive body-in-white applications.
Create detailed 3D fixture designs and 2D manufacturing drawings.
Understand customer requirements, part geometry, GD&T;, and assembly processes.
Design locating, clamping, pinning, and supporting arrangements.
Perform feasibility studies and optimize fixture concepts for manufacturability.
Coordinate with manufacturing, production, and tooling teams during fixture development.
Review and incorporate design changes based on customer feedback.
Ensure designs meet quality, safety, functionality, and manufacturing requirements.
Participate in design reviews and resolve technical issues during project execution.
Prepare and maintain design documentation, BOMs, and related engineering data.

Mandatory Skills & Experience
2–5 years of experience in BIW Fixture Design.




Mandatory experience in BIW fixture concept designing.
Robust knowledge of automotive BIW fixture design principles.
Good understanding of GD&T;, 3D modeling, and 2D drafting.
Experience with fixture components such as locators, clamps, pins, supports, and mechanisms.
Ability to understand automotive BIW part geometry and assembly requirements.
Hands-on experience with relevant CAD software such as CATIA V5 / NX.
Good problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work independently as well as coordinate with cross-functional teams.

Education

Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred
Experience working on automotive OEM or Tier-1 projects.
Knowledge of BIW manufacturing and welding processes.
Experience in fixture concept development from initial requirement through detailed design.
Exposure to customer standards and automotive tooling practices.
