Position: Lab Attendant
Job Summary
We are looking for a responsible and organized Lab Attendant to support the smooth functioning of the school's science laboratory. The candidate will assist teachers and students during practical sessions, ensure laboratory equipment and materials are properly maintained, and follow all required safety and cleanliness procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare laboratory equipment, specimens, chemicals, and other materials required for practical classes.
Assist teachers in setting up and conducting science practicals and demonstrations.
Ensure laboratory equipment, instruments, and materials are properly stored and maintained.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laboratory at all times.
Check laboratory equipment regularly and report damaged or faulty items to the concerned authority.
Maintain records of laboratory equipment, chemicals, specimens, and other supplies.
Assist in managing laboratory inventory and inform the school when supplies need replenishment.
Follow proper laboratory safety and chemical-handling procedures.
Ensure students follow laboratory safety rules during practical sessions.
Support teachers with any additional laboratory-related requirements.
Educational Qualification
Graudation in B.Sc / M.Sc or a diploma or relevant qualification in Science/Laboratory work will be an advantage.
Basic understanding of laboratory equipment and safety procedures.
Candidates with relevant school laboratory experience will be preferred.
