About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and skilled DCDP – Pastry & Breads to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in preparing premium desserts, artisanal breads, viennoiserie, and baked products while maintaining the highest standards of quality, hygiene, and consistency.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and bake a variety of breads, buns, croissants, brioche, focaccia, sourdough, and other bakery products.
Prepare cakes, pastries, tarts, cookies, muffins, brownies, and plated desserts as per standard recipes.
Ensure consistency in taste, texture, presentation, and portioning.
Assist the Pastry Chef/CDP in daily kitchen operations and production planning.
Maintain mise en place and ensure timely production for service.
Monitor inventory and communicate ingredient requirements to minimize shortages and wastage.
Follow standardized recipes and food cost guidelines.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry and bakery section.
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
Properly store ingredients and finished products following FIFO and FEFO practices.
Assist in new dessert and bakery product development.
Coordinate effectively with kitchen and service teams to ensure smooth operations.





Required Skills:
Strong knowledge of baking techniques and pastry production.
Experience in bread fermentation, dough handling, and baking processes.
Knowledge of chocolate work, creams, fillings, and dessert plating.
Understanding of bakery equipment, mixers, proofers, ovens, and refrigeration.
Basic knowledge of inventory control and food costing.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Passion for innovation and attention to detail.

Qualifications:
Diploma or Degree in Hotel Management, Bakery, or Culinary Arts preferred.
2–4 years of relevant experience in pastry and bakery production.
Experience in premium cafés, luxury hotels, or fine dining restaurants will be preferred.
