A Horticulture Assistant supports senior gardeners and staff with planting, watering, pruning, and maintaining healthy plants in nursery.

Key Responsibilities
Plant Care: Water, weed, prune, and fertilize flowers, shrubs, and trees.
Propagation: Start new plants from seeds, cuttings, or bulbs.
Health Monitoring: Check plants for signs of pests, diseases, or nutrient shortages and report issues.
Maintenance: Keep garden tools, equipment, and work areas clean and protected.
Soil Prep: Help prepare soil, mix compost, and set up straightforward irrigation lines.

Qualifications & Skills
Knowledge: Basic understanding of plant types and general care.
Physical Fitness: Ability to work outdoors in all weather and lift heavy loads (often 25 to 50 lbs).
Education: High school diploma, with optional certifications or a degree in horticulture or plant science.
Teamwork: Valuable communication skills to work well with a crew
