Job Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Fettling Shop Operators to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for the final cleaning, finishing, and dressing of raw metal castings. You will use hand tools, grinding machinery, and power equipment to remove excess metal and imperfections, ensuring our products meet high quality and dimensional standards before they head to the machining or shipping stage.

Key Responsibilities:
Finishing & Fettling: Remove gates, risers, runners, flash, and surface imperfections from raw castings using grinders, chisels, and pneumatic tools.
Equipment Operation: Safely operate pedestal grinders, hand angle grinders, shot-blasting machines, and cut-off saws.
Quality Control: Visually inspect finished components for defects like cracks, blowholes, or uneven surfaces, reporting any issues to the supervisor.
Material Handling: Move heavy castings manually or by operating overhead cranes, hoists, and forklifts (if certified).
Safety & Housekeeping: Adhere to strict safety rules, wear required PPE (dust masks, face shields, hearing protection), and keep the workstation clean and free of debris.

Requirements & Qualifications:
Experience:



1–3 years of experience working in a foundry, fettling shop, smithy, or heavy metal manufacturing setting is preferred.
Technical Skills: Familiarity with various metal grinding tools, cutting equipment, and measuring instruments.
Physical Fitness: High physical stamina; ability to lift heavy loads, stand for long shifts, and withstand high-vibration, noisy, and dusty environments.
Education: Minimum high school diploma/10th pass.
Soft Skills: Solid attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and a strong work ethic.

Hiring Details & Advantages:
