Role & responsibilities
Provide L2 technical support for servers, infrastructure, and data centre settings.
Monitor and troubleshoot Windows/Linux servers, CPU, memory, disk, and system performance issues.
Manage and troubleshoot VMware ESXi, vCenter, and virtual machines.
Handle server installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and maintenance.
Troubleshoot DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, TCP/IP, and basic networking issues.
Monitor NMS/EMS and infrastructure alerts and resolve incidents within defined SLAs.
Manage storage, SAN, RAID, backup, and restore operations.
Perform incident, problem, and change management as per ITIL processes.
Support High Availability (HA), Disaster Recovery (DR), and BCP activities.
Coordinate with L3 teams, OEMs, vendors, and other technical teams for complex issues.
Maintain system documentation, incident reports, and operational records.
Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring infrastructure issues.
Ensure infrastructure availability, security, and compliance as per organizational standards.
Participate in UAT/ATP, preventive maintenance, and data centre operations.
