Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Dehradun for an Export and Import Footwear Merchandiser. The role involves managing footwear merchandising activities for international and domestic markets, including coordinating and creating new orders, monitoring product development, and ensuring that samples and production meet buyer specifications. The merchandiser will liaise with suppliers, buyers, and internal teams to track shipments, manage documentation, and support compliance with export and import regulations. Daily tasks include reviewing purchase orders, updating order status, maintaining pricing and product information, and supporting negotiations related to quantities, delivery timelines, and quality standards.



The role also requires close collaboration with sales and marketing teams to analyze market trends, support customer requirements, and contribute to business growth.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess solid Communication and Customer Service skills to interact effectively with buyers, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Candidates should have 5-7 years experience in the open footwear industry.
- Candidates should possess Sales and Retail skills to understand market needs, product positioning, and customer preferences in footwear merchandising.
- Candidates should possess Marketing skills to support product presentation, basic market analysis, and promotional activities for export and import markets.
- Candidates should possess organizational and time management skills to handle multiple orders, deadlines, and documentation requirements.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of export and import procedures, basic logistics, and footwear or leather product categories.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in MS Office or similar tools for reporting, order tracking, and communication.
- Relevant experience in footwear merchandising, leather goods, or international trade is preferred.
- A diploma or degree in Business, Commerce, Fashion Merchandising, International Trade, or a related field is beneficial.
