About the RoleWe are seeking a highly experienced Senior Studio Engineer – Exterior Engineering to join our Automotive Design Studio team at HMIE, Hyderabad.This role serves as a critical bridge between Styling and Engineering, transforming creative design concepts into technically feasible and production-ready exterior vehicle solutions while preserving the intended design vision. Working closely with Studio Designers and cross-functional engineering teams, the Senior Studio Engineer will lead package integration, feasibility assessments, regulatory compliance activities, and manufacturing readiness evaluations to ensure the successful delivery of world-class exterior systems that meet design, quality, cost, timing, and performance targets. Required Skills & ExperienceBachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering, Automotive Engineering, Product Design Engineering, or a related discipline.Minimum 10 years of experience in automotive exterior engineering, preferably within an OEM Design Studio, Automotive Design Centre, or vehicle product development environment.Robust hands-on experience in:Exterior body systems engineeringPackage engineeringClass-A surface feasibility evaluationDesign release and implementation activitiesProven experience collaborating directly with Automotive Design Studio teams and translating styling concepts into robust engineering solutions while maintaining design intent.Strong knowledge of global automotive regulations and homologation requirements, including AIS/CMVR, ECE, and FMVSS,
