- Prepare, complete and review UK audit files across multiple engagements.
- Perform audit planning, risk assessment and substantive audit procedures.
- Handle significant, judgmental, complex and higher-risk audit areas.
- Review financial statements, going concern, subsequent events, disclosures and audit conclusions.
- Ensure audit work complies with ISA, IFRS and UK accounting standards including FRS 101 & FRS 102.
- Identify and document audit risks and ensure appropriate conclusions are evidenced.
- Conduct thorough self-review and provide constructive review points to junior team members.
- Manage allocated work, budgets,
deadlines and overall delivery quality.
- Support, coach and mentor junior offshore audit professionals.
- Communicate effectively with UK engagement teams and escalate technical, quality and deadline-related matters.
- Use audit software, workflow tools and data analytics to improve efficiency and quality.
- Promote qualified skepticism, quality, continuous improvement and strong audit documentation.
- For managerial roles, lead the offshore audit team, manage capacity/work allocation, monitor performance and develop team capability.
