Hiring Alert – Senior Additive Manufacturing Engineer (Metal AM)

L&T; Technology Services (LTTS) is looking for experienced professionals to join our Additive Manufacturing Engineering Team . We are seeking experts with strong hands-on experience in Metal 3D Printing / Metal Additive Manufacturing to support advanced engineering and product development initiatives.

Role: Senior Additive Manufacturing Engineer

Experience: 10 – 15 Years

Qualification: B.E./B. Tech / M.E./M. Tech – Mechanical, Manufacturing, Metallurgy, Aerospace, Production Engineering

Employment Type: Full-Time

Location: Chennai

✅ Key Responsibilities

- Provide technical leadership for Metal Additive Manufacturing (AM) projects and engineering initiatives.
- Support component design, redesign, and optimization for metal 3D printing applications .
- Develop manufacturable solutions using Design for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM ) principles.
- Work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to execute AM projects.
- Evaluate component suitability and drive part consolidation opportunities.
- Support build preparation, process planning, and manufacturing feasibility assessments.
- Execute engineering activities within project schedules, quality requirements, and management frameworks.
- Review and validate AM designs, manufacturing methods, and technical deliverables.
- Support prototype development,



qualification, validation, and production readiness activities.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to AM best practice development.

️ Skills Required

- Solid expertise in Metal Additive Manufacturing / Metal 3D Printing .
- Hands-on experience with technologies such as:
- SLM (Selective Laser Melting)
- DMLS (Direct Metal Laser Sintering)
- LPBF (Laser Powder Bed Fusion)
- EBM (Electron Beam Melting)
- Strong knowledge of DfAM (Design for Additive Manufacturing) .
- Experience in metal AM materials including:
- Titanium Alloys
- Inconel
- Stainless Steel
- Aluminum Alloys
- Nickel-Based Superalloys
- Proficiency in CAD tools such as NX, CATIA, Creo, or Solid Works .
- Knowledge of build orientation, support generation, topology optimization, and lattice structures.
- Understanding of post-processing, heat treatment, machining, and inspection requirements for metal AM parts.
- Strong engineering analysis and problem-solving skills.
