Indian Carbon Black prices had remained steady around Rs 176/kg during most of the first half of August before a Rs 10/kg reduction on 11 August and another Rs 2/kg cut at the latest assessment. The latest price is the lowest in the available one-month period, while the recent high stands near Rs 180/kg.
The market remains within a defined broader range. Carbon Black was Rs 180/kg on 17 July, making the current level Rs 16/kg lower over one month. On 16 May, the product stood at Rs 170/kg, leaving a Rs 6/kg decline over three months. The available three-month range is Rs 160/kg to Rs 180/kg. The six-month baseline was Rs 108/kg on 17 February, while the August 2025 comparable reading was Rs 92/kg. Carbon Black prices in India are therefore still substantially above both longer-term reference points.

Indian Carbon Black prices have weakened after the stability recorded earlier in August, but the current assessment remains inside the established recent range.
