Job DescriptionBasic Information: Experience: 4–6 Years Employment Type: Full-time Onsite Location: Ahmedabad, Gujarat Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Database Administrator (DBA) with 4–6 years of experience in managing and supporting production database environments. The ideal candidate should have solid practical experience in Oracle, MySQL, and MongoDB, with a solid understanding of database administration, performance tuning, backup and recovery, replication, high availability, security, and troubleshooting. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, reliability, security, and integrity of business-critical databases across on-premises and cloud/hybrid environments. Key Responsibilities: Install, configure, upgrade, patch, and maintain Oracle, MySQL, and MongoDB database environments. Perform day-to-day administration and monitoring of production and non-production databases. Monitor database health, availability, capacity, and performance. Perform SQL/query optimization, indexing, and database performance tuning. Configure and manage database backup, recovery, and restore processes. Implement and maintain replication, high availability, and disaster recovery solutions. Monitor replication status and troubleshoot replication-related issues. Manage database users, roles, privileges, authentication, and access controls. Ensure database security and follow organizational security and compliance standards. Troubleshoot database incidents, performance issues, connectivity problems, and failures. Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for recurring or critical database incidents. Perform database upgrades, migrations, patching, and maintenance activities. Monitor database storage, capacity, and resource utilization and plan capacity accordingly. Automate routine database administration and monitoring activities using scripting. Coordinate with Developers, DevOps,



Infrastructure, and Application teams for database-related requirements. Support databases hosted in on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. Maintain database documentation, SOPs, backup procedures, and recovery plans. Required Technical Skills: A) Primary Database Technologies – Mandatory Oracle Database , MySQL & MongoDB– Strong hands-on experience B) Database Administration Database installation, configuration, upgrade, and patching Database backup and recovery Replication and synchronization High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) Performance monitoring and tuning Query optimization and indexing Database troubleshooting and RCA User, role, and privilege management Capacity and storage management C) Operating Systems Good working knowledge of Linux/Unix Basic to good knowledge of Windows Server D) Monitoring & Administration Tools 1) Experience with one or more of the following: Grafana Prometheus Zabbix Nagios Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) E) Scripting & Automation Shell/Bash scripting Python PowerShell F) Security & Compliance Implement database security best practices. Manage database users, roles, privileges, authentication, and authorization. Apply appropriate access controls to production databases. Support database vulnerability assessment and remediation activities. Ensure secure handling of database credentials and sensitive information. Support audit and compliance requirements related to database environments. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. 4–6 years of hands-on experience as a Database Administrator. Strong production experience with Oracle, MySQL, and MongoDB. Experience supporting business-critical production databases. Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. Good understanding of database backup, recovery, replication, and performance tuning. Ability to work with cross-functional teams including Development, DevOps, Infrastructure, and Application teams.
