Job Description – Purchase Executive

Position: Purchase Executive

Experience: 3–5 years

Job Location: Rabale, Navi Mumbai

Industry Preference

Priority: Transformer / Electrical Industry

Candidates from Engineering, Electrical, Manufacturing, or related industries may also be considered.

Key Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end procurement activities for electrical, engineering, and manufacturing materials.

Identify and develop reliable suppliers and vendors.

Obtain and compare quotations, negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other commercial terms.

Prepare Purchase Orders (POs) and follow up with suppliers for timely delivery.

Coordinate with Production, Stores, Quality, Engineering, and Accounts departments for material requirements.

Monitor material availability and ensure timely procurement as per production/project schedules.

Maintain purchase records, vendor details, quotations, POs, and related documentation.

Coordinate with suppliers regarding quality issues, shortages, delays, and replacement of rejected materials.

Track pending orders and ensure timely closure of purchase requirements.

Develop and maintain good vendor relationships.





Support cost-saving initiatives and identify alternative sources/vendors where required.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Purchase/Procurement.

Qualification: Graduate / Diploma in Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical, or a related field.

Experience in the Transformer Industry will be given priority.

Candidates from Electrical / Engineering / Manufacturing industries are also eligible.

Good knowledge of electrical and engineering materials will be an advantage.

Valuable negotiation and vendor management skills.

Good knowledge of MS Excel, MS Office or other purchase-related software.

Good communication, coordination, and follow-up skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple purchase requirements.
