Job Brief:- AU Small Finance Bank Limited is seeking a meticulous and experienced professional to join our Operations and Services team, specializing in the evaluation and appraisal of gold assets for loan processing. This role demands a deep understanding of gold valuation techniques, market trends, and regulatory compliance to ensure accurate assessment and risk mitigation. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in supporting the bank's gold loan portfolio by providing exact appraisals that uphold the institution's standards of financial integrity and customer trust.
Responsibilities:-
- Conduct thorough physical inspection and verification of gold items submitted for loan processing, ensuring authenticity and purity.
- Evaluate the market value of gold based on current rates, weight, and quality, applying standardized appraisal methodologies.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of gold market trends, pricing fluctuations, and regulatory guidelines affecting gold loan operations.
- Prepare detailed appraisal reports and documentation to support loan sanctioning decisions and audit requirements.
- Collaborate with loan officers and operations teams to facilitate smooth processing of gold loan applications.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements related to gold asset evaluation and loan disbursement.
- Identify and report any discrepancies or potential fraud in gold submissions to the relevant authorities within the bank.
- Participate in periodic training and development programs to enhance appraisal techniques and industry knowledge.
- Manage and maintain appraisal equipment and tools to ensure accuracy and reliability in assessments.
- Support the resolution of customer queries related to gold valuation and loan terms with professionalism and clarity.
