Why this role exists:
The Associate Replenishment Manager leads the Demand Planning and Supply Planning functions, ensuring Officeworks has an objective view of expected customer demand and an executable supply response across assigned category portfolios. The role establishes the planning standards, governance and performance expectations that connect commercial priorities with supply chain execution. It leads the demand and supply components of the integrated planning process, ensuring assumptions, constraints, risks and trade-offs are visible and resolved through the appropriate decision forums.
Through effective team leadership and cross-functional coordination, the Associate Replenishment Manager drives product availability while balancing supplier constraints, inventory health and working capital requirements. The role is accountable for planning performance, systemic risk resolution and the ongoing development of team and system capability.

Demand and Supply Planning Leadership
Lead the Demand Planning and Supply Planning teams, setting clear priorities, accountabilities, decision rights and performance expectations.
Establish consistent planning standards, processes and ways of working across both functions.

Integrated Planning and S&OP; Governance
Lead the demand and supply components of the Sales and Operations Planning process, ensuring a coherent view of expected demand, inventory requirements, supply constraints and business risks.
Lead weekly and monthly demand and supply reviews, ensuring decisions, actions, assumptions and unresolved issues are clearly documented.
Ensure promotions, seasonal events, product launches, pricing activity, range transitions and other commercial initiatives are supported by quantified demand and supply assumptions.
Ensure an approved demand plan is provided to Supply Planning, Inventory Planning, Finance and other downstream teams in line with the planning calendar.
Present demand and supply scenarios, constraints, trade-offs and recommendations to senior stakeholders for decision.
Escalate unresolved risks and decisions that fall outside the teams delegated authority.
Supply Execution and Replenishment Control
Oversee end-to-end retail replenishment from supplier to DC and DC to store, ensuring inventory requirements, supplier commitments and operational constraints are reflected in executable plans.
Ensure replenishment parameters,



order recommendations and purchase orders are reviewed and managed within agreed controls, including safety stock, service levels, lead times, MOQs, pack sizes and presentation minimums.
Ensure stock shortages, backorders, delayed orders, supplier capacity constraints and other supply exceptions are identified early and supported by transparent recovery plans.
Act as a senior escalation point for significant supplier, logistics and inbound supply issues.
Ensure demand, inbound supply and store replenishment plans support promotions, seasonal events, product launches, range transitions and store network changes.
Provide clear visibility of supply risks and their implications for product availability, inventory and commercial outcomes.
Availability, Inventory and Working Capital Performance
Oversee performance across product availability, service levels, inventory investment, stock cover, stockturn, excess stock, ageing and obsolescence.
Ensure demand and supply decisions appropriately balance customer availability with inventory risk and working capital requirements.
Partner with Inventory Planning to understand store, channel and regional requirements and evaluate the network implications of demand and replenishment decisions.
Maintain clear accountability boundaries, with Inventory Planning retaining ownership of store and channel allocation, reallocation and transfers.
Work with Finance, Merchandise Planning and Category teams to evaluate material inventory and financial trade-offs.
Lead cross-functional resolution of recurring availability and inventory risks that cannot be addressed within an individual planning function.
Planning Performance and Continuous Improvement
Establish and monitor performance measures across forecast accuracy, forecast bias, forecast value add, supplier service, replenishment performance, product availability and inventory health.
Identify systemic causes of recurring forecast, supply, data and process issues and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Ensure Relex and other planning systems are used consistently and that planning parameters, workflows and controls remain effective.
Partner with Inventory Optimisation, Data and Technology teams to improve planning models, data quality, automation and system capability.
Lead improvements to planning governance, processes and team capability based on performance insights and business priorities.

Qualifications and work experience
Essential
8+ years experience across retail demand planning, supply planning, replenishment or inventory management in a complex, high-SKU environment.
A tertiary qualification in engineering, supply chain, operations, analytics or a related discipline.
Strong expertise in demand planning and S&OP;, including statistical forecasting, forecast accuracy and bias, demand drivers, exception management, value-adding forecast overrides, consensus forecasting and scenario planning.
Deep understanding of end-to-end retail replenishment, from supplier to DC and DC to store, including forecast consumption, replenishment requirements, safety stock, service levels, lead times, MOQs, pack sizes, presentation minimums, regionalisation and supplier constraints.
Demonstrated ability to diagnose availability and inventory issues and balance customer service, supply constraints, inventory investment and working capital.
Experience leading demand and supply planners as a functional leader by setting planning standards, reviewing decisions, coaching capability and resolving complex exceptions.
Experience improving planning processes, planning routines, decision rights, system usage and data quality.
Strong analytical capability using advanced planning systems, business intelligence tools and data.
Ability to translate analysis into clear risks, options and recommendations for senior stakeholders.
Strong cross-functional influence and experience leading distributed teams.

Preferred
Experience in omnichannel retail, particularly fast-moving technology products.
Experience with RELEX or comparable planning platforms.
Working knowledge of SQL and Power BI, Tableau or comparable analytical tools.
Experience supporting planning-system implementations or transformation programmes.
