Teaching Assistant - Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning & Data Science

Part-time (not a full-time job) | 3 to 6 hours a week | Remote | ₹3,000 to ₹6,000 a week (more for experienced TAs)

What you'll do

- Answer student questions on chat during live classes. Think of it as being the calm, smart friend in the group chat.
- Mentor students in groups and sometimes one-on-one. You help them debug their code, understand why a model behaves the way it does and believe in themselves.

When you'll work

- Weekdays from 8:00 PM
- Weekends

It fits neatly around your day job or research.

Why this matters

Every student has a question they're scared to ask. As their mentor, you're the one they ask without feeling judged. "Dumb" questions are never dumb. Answer one and it clicks. That's the magic: you help someone upskill and change their life.

You might forget the doubt you cleared on a Tuesday night. They won't.

What you should know well

- Python for data science, plus Git and GitHub
- Working with data: cleaning, exploring and visualizing it
- SQL
- The math behind ML: statistics, probability,



linear algebra and calculus basics
- Machine learning: building, evaluating and improving models
- Deep learning and neural networks
- NLP and transformers
- Generative AI: LLMs, prompting, RAG and AI agents
- Deploying models as simple apps or APIs
- Responsible AI: bias, privacy and safety basics
- Problem framing: knowing when ML is the right tool and linking results to business decisions
- End-to-end projects that students can show to employers
- Time series, A/B testing, reinforcement learning or cloud tools are a bonus

Who can apply

You should be one of these:

- A working skilled with 1+ year of experience in data science, machine learning, AI or a related role
- A PhD scholar in computer science, AI, statistics, mathematics or a related area

We prefer ed-tech or teaching experience. No teaching experience yet? That's okay. If you're confident you can explain things clearly and make students want to learn, apply anyway and show us.
