Major Duties and Responsibilities

System Development

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications for multi-hazard decision support systems
- Build responsive and user-friendly interfaces for operational dashboards

Data Integration and APIs

- Integrate real-time and historical data from meteorological, satellite, and external data sources
- Develop and maintain robust APIs for data exchange and system interoperability

System Architecture & DevOps

- Support system architecture design ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and containerized deployment environments

Geospatial Visualization and DSS

- Develop GIS-based visualization tools and interactive risk maps.
- Support modules related to impact-based forecasting and early warning dissemination

Documentation and Capacity Building





- Prepare technical documentation including system architecture, APIs, and user manuals
- Provide training and knowledge transfer to internal teams and stakeholders.

Additional Responsibilities

- Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor in line with project needs and priorities.

Deliverables:

- Deployment of functional DSS applications aligned with project timelines
- Well-documented and version-controlled code repositories (e.g., Git)
- API documentation and system architecture documentation
- Periodic progress reports and technical updates
- Secure system performance with defined uptime and responsiveness benchmarks
