Oswal Cables Job Description Head / Senior Manager – Production Planning & Control (PPC) Location Experience Industry Employment Type Qualification Jaipur 12–18 Years Power Cable (HT/LT) & Overhead Conductor Manufacturing Full-Time B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline Job Summary Oswal Cables Limited is looking for an experienced Head / Senior Manager – Production Planning & Control (PPC) to lead production planning, scheduling, material planning, capacity planning, inventory control, and order execution for its manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in HT/LT Power Cable, Wire, and Overhead Conductor manufacturing, with expertise in managing end-to-end production planning in a high-volume manufacturing environment. The role will work closely with Production, Sales, Purchase, Stores, Quality, Maintenance, and Dispatch to ensure optimum resource utilization and timely order fulfilment. Key Responsibilities • Lead end-to-end Production Planning & Control (PPC) for cable and/or conductor manufacturing operations. • Prepare and monitor monthly, weekly, and daily production plans based on customer orders, delivery schedules, machine capacity, and material availability. • Ensure effective production scheduling and optimum machine and manpower utilization. • Monitor Production Plan vs. Actual and drive corrective actions to achieve production targets. • Conduct capacity planning and machine loading to identify production constraints and bottlenecks. • Plan raw material, WIP,



and packing material requirements in line with the production plan. • Coordinate with Purchase and Stores for timely availability of raw materials and critical components. • Monitor and control RM, WIP, slow-moving, non-moving, and ageing inventory. • Coordinate with Sales and Dispatch to align production priorities with customer delivery commitments. • Work closely with Production, Maintenance, QA/QC, Purchase, Stores, and Dispatch for smooth execution of production plans. • Track order status, production backlog, pending orders, and delivery risks. • Drive improvements in schedule adherence, planning accuracy, capacity utilization, inventory control, and on-time delivery. • Prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly PPC MIS, production dashboards, and management reports. • Analyse production data and identify opportunities for improving throughput and reducing planning-related losses. • Ensure effective utilization of SAP HANA / ERP systems for production and material planning. • Lead and develop the PPC team and establish effective planning and review mechanisms. Candidate Requirements • 12–18 years of experience in Production Planning & Control / PPC within Cable, Wire, or Overhead Conductor Manufacturing.



• Strong preference for candidates with experience in HT/LT Power Cable Manufacturing and AAC, AAAC, ACSR and other Overhead Conductors. • Proven experience in production scheduling, material planning, MRP, capacity planning, inventory management, and order fulfilment. • Strong understanding of cable/conductor manufacturing processes, production flow, machine capacities, and process constraints. • Hands-on experience in SAP HANA, SAP PP/MM, ERP, MRP, or similar manufacturing planning systems. • Experience in managing cross-functional teams and coordinating with multiple manufacturing departments. • Robust analytical, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
