Role & responsibilities

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Backend Developer with strong expertise in Java-based backend technologies, Microservices architecture and a willingness to work extensively in Kotlin. The selected candidate will primarily develop and maintain Kotlin-based backend services and microservices in a cloud-native environment. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in building scalable, high-performance backend systems and working with distributed applications in an agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java/Kotlin and Microservices architecture.
- Build and integrate RESTful APIs and distributed systems.
- Develop event-driven solutions using Apache Kafka.
- Containerize services using Docker and support deployments on Kubernetes/EKS.
- Work with AWS cloud services to build and maintain cloud-native applications.
- Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, and Architecture teams.
- Participate in code reviews, debugging, performance tuning, and production support activities.
- Follow coding standards, security guidelines, and engineering best practices.
- Use Git for source control and follow established CI/CD and release processes.
- Strong experience in writing Unit Test Cases and Integration Test Cases.




- Leverage AI-powered development tools and coding assistants to improve productivity, code quality, debugging, testing, and documentation.

Must-Have Skills

- Strong Core Java fundamentals and backend development experience.
- Hands-on experience with Microservices architecture like Docker and Kubernetes/EKS.
- Strong experience with Apache Kafka.
- Exposure to SQL and NoSQL data bases including Postgres, MongoDB, Graph DB
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong experience in writing Unit and Integration Test Cases.

Preferred candidate profile

Preferred Skills

- Hands-on experience with Java/Kotlin.
- Exposure to NATS Jetsteams would be a plus
- Experience building cloud-native and distributed applications.
- Exposure to event-driven architecture
