Nath Aggarwal Associates is a 35-year-old civil infrastructure development firm executing civil works for government departments in Delhi.
We have extensive experience working with the Irrigation & Flood Control Department, Government of NCT of Delhi, and execute a wide range of civil infrastructure projects including RCC retaining walls, RCC boundary walls, RCC drains, roads, drainage structures, piling and other civil works.
We are looking for an experienced Civil Engineer who can independently manage the complete execution of a project as well as handle government departmental billing and coordination.
KEY REQUIREMENT 1
Independent Management of Complete Project Execution
The candidate must be capable of taking complete responsibility for the execution of an entire project from start to completion.
This is not a role limited to site supervision.
The engineer will be expected to independently manage:
RCC Retaining Wall Works
- Complete execution of RCC retaining walls.
- Ensuring quality and timely progress.
RCC Boundary Wall Works
- Complete execution of RCC boundary wall projects.
RCC Drain Works
- Levels, gradients and alignment.
- Inlet/outlet and associated drainage structures.
- Backfilling and finishing.
Piling Works
- Experience in execution and management of piling works.
- Coordination of piling agencies/teams.
- Monitoring pile locations, depths and execution.
- Coordination of equipment and manpower.
- Maintaining piling records and measurements.
- Coordination of testing and related site requirements.
Overall Project Responsibility
The engineer should be able to independently handle:
Planning → Mobilisation → Labour → Materials → Machinery → Execution → Measurements → Quality Control → Department Coordination → Billing → Completion
The expectation is that senior management should not have to supervise the engineer's day-to-day site execution.
The engineer should be capable of identifying problems at site, finding practical solutions and ensuring that the work continues smoothly.
KEY REQUIREMENT 2
Government Department Billing & Department Liaison
The second major responsibility will be handling billing and coordination with government department officials.
The candidate must have practical experience dealing with government departments and should be comfortable coordinating directly with departmental officials.
Government Billing
The engineer will be responsible for:
- Preparation of Running Account (RA) Bills.
- Preparation of Final Bills.
- Preparation of quantity statements.
- Quantity calculations and abstracts.
- Taking and maintaining site measurements.
- Preparing billing documents based on actual work executed.
- Checking measurements and quantities.
- Preparing supporting documents required for bill submission.
- Tracking submitted bills.
- Resolving billing/measurement-related queries.
- Coordinating corrections and revisions in bills.
- Maintaining proper records of departmental billing.
- Understanding deductions and recoveries applicable to government works.
Department Liaison & Coordination
The engineer will be required to liaise directly with government department officials and coordinate the project at the departmental level.
This will include regular coordination with:
- JE – Junior Engineer
- AE – Assistant Engineer
- Executive Engineer (Ex. En.)
- Other departmental engineers and officials
CANDIDATE PROFILE
We are looking for a practical Civil Engineer with robust site execution and government-work experience.
The candidate should be someone who can be given a project and told:
“Take complete charge of this project.”
He should then be able to manage the execution, labour, materials, machinery, measurements, departmental coordination and billing independently.
Essential Experience
- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- 5–10+ years of relevant experience preferred.
- Strong practical experience in RCC civil works.
- Experience in RCC retaining walls.
- Experience in RCC boundary walls.
- Experience in RCC drains.
- Experience in piling works.
- Experience managing complete project execution.
- Experience preparing government department RA and final bills.
- Experience with measurements and quantity calculations.
- Experience dealing directly with JE, AE and Executive Engineer-level officials.
- Experience preparing labour contractor bills.
- Ability to read and understand drawings.
- Good knowledge of reinforcement, shuttering and concreting.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and quantity calculations.
