Position Project Engineer

Reports to Senior Project Engineer / Project Manager

Direct reports Site Supervisors and Foremen

Working conditions Full time; site-based

Job Purpose

Bridge planning and site execution by coordinating resources, monitoring work quality, tracking daily

progress, and maintaining reliable site records. The role helps the execution team deliver planned activities

without material, quality, or reporting gaps.

Key Responsibilities

Resource tracking

- Track material consumption against approved indents and planned requirements.

- Flag material shortages before they affect site activities.

- Coordinate daily labour deployment with supervisors and foremen.

- Prepare material indents based on the weekly and short-term work plan.

Quality control

- Set up and complete daily quality checkpoints for assigned activities.

- Review executed work against drawings, specifications, and approved standards.

- Document quality observations and coordinate timely closure of identified issues.

- Assist the Senior Project Engineer with quality audits and records.

Planning and progress support

- Prepare daily task lists for the execution team.

- Track actual progress against the daily and weekly plan.

- Report variances, constraints,



and pending decisions to the Senior Project Engineer.

- Update progress trackers and maintain supporting site records.

Measurement billing and documentation support

- Check DPR and DLR inputs for assigned activities and confirm that quantities match actual work.One Group | Consolidated Job Descriptions Page 9

- Organize verified quantities and activity records in the prescribed Excel tracker.

- Maintain dated photo documentation and other supporting records.

- Submit complete and accurate records to the Senior Project Engineer for consolidation.

- No avoidable work stoppage caused by unreported material shortages.

- Completion and documentation of daily quality checks.

- Accurate verification of DPR, DLR, and activity quantities.

- Timely and accurate progress reporting.

- Effective coordination of labour, materials, and daily work priorities.

Qualifications and Experience

- B.Tech in Civil Engineering.

- At least 5 years of experience in construction project execution.

- Working knowledge of Excel, basic AutoCAD, material tracking, and site documentation.
