Job Description: Mechanical Site Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a Mechanical Site Engineer to oversee on-site execution of piping fabrication, structural steel work, and HVAC installation across our industrial/pharma project sites. The candidate will coordinate between design, procurement, fabrication, and client teams to ensure quality, schedule, and safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise piping fabrication and erection (process, utility, chilled water, hot water lines) as per approved GA/isometric drawings

Oversee structural steel work — fabrication, erection, alignment, and welding quality checks against IS codes

Manage HVAC equipment installation (AHUs, ducting, chillers, piping) and coordinate testing & commissioning

Read and interpret P&IDs;, GA drawings, isometrics, and BBS

Coordinate daily site activities with fabricators, welders, riggers, and subcontractors

Conduct quality checks — weld inspection, alignment, pressure testing, insulation checks

Track material consumption against BOQ and raise indents for site requirements





Ensure adherence to safety protocols (PPE, work permits, lifting plans)

Prepare daily progress reports, material reconciliation, and site documentation

Liaise with client site teams and consultants for inspections and approvals

Support site billing/measurement and progress tracking against project schedule

Required Skills & Qualifications

Diploma/B.E. in Mechanical Engineering

3–8 years of site experience in piping fabrication, structural steel, and HVAC (pharma/industrial project background preferred)

Working knowledge of welding processes (SMAW, TIG), NDT basics, and fit-up inspection

Familiarity with IS codes for structural and piping work

Ability to read fabrication/GA drawings and isometrics independently

Basic proficiency in MS Excel/AutoCAD for site documentation

Solid coordination and communication skills for multi-vendor site management

Willingness to travel/relocate to project sites (Bengaluru, Vizag, Mysuru regions)

Preferred

Prior exposure to GMP/pharma facility construction

Experience handling client inspections and QA/QC documentation
