Senior Architect – Roof, 2D & 3D Architectural Drawings

Location: BTM 2nd Stage, Bengaluru

Qualification: B.Arch / M.Arch Diploma Architecture Mandatory

We are looking for a senior architect with strong hands-on experience in roof concepts, AutoCAD 2D, architectural 3D drawings, rooftop layouts and electrical drawing coordination for luxury villas, farmhouses, and premium residential projects.

The ideal candidate should be able to develop architectural concepts and convert them into accurate 2D drawings, roof plans, rooftop layouts, elevations, sections and 3D models, while coordinating architectural requirements with electrical and other services.

- Key Responsibilities Develop architectural concepts for luxury farmhouses, villas, and premium residential projects.
- Develop practical and aesthetically suitable roof concepts.
- Prepare detailed AutoCAD 2D architectural drawings.
- Prepare roof plans, roof elevations, roof sections, and rooftop layouts.
- Develop architectural 3D models and visualizations.
- Prepare and coordinate electrical layouts/drawings with architectural plans.
- Coordinate electrical points such as lighting, switches, power points and other requirements with architectural layouts.
- Coordinate rooftop requirements with architectural design and services.
- Prepare plans, elevations, sections, and detailed architectural drawings.
- Develop façade and exterior design concepts.
- Ensure drawings are accurate in terms of dimensions, levels and architectural detailing.
- Work with Feet & Inches for architectural drawings and dimensions.
- Review drawings against project requirements and site conditions.
- Coordinate with design, project, consultant, and site teams.
- Incorporate revisions and maintain updated drawings.
- Support design development from the concept stage through detailed drawing and execution stages.

Feet & Inches – Mandatory The candidate must have hands-on skilled experience working with Feet & Inches in architectural drawings.

They should be able to read, interpret, and prepare AutoCAD drawings using feet & inches for architectural dimensions, including plans, elevations, sections, roof drawings, and detailed architectural components.

Candidates with only metric drawing experience will not be suitable for this requirement.

Roof & Rooftop Experience The candidate should have practical experience developing and documenting roof designs, including:

- Roof concepts
- Roof plans
- Roof slopes
- Roof levels
- Ridge and valley concepts
- Roof sections
- Roof elevations
- Rooftop layouts
- Coordination of rooftop architectural requirements
- Integration of roof design with the overall building form





Electrical Drawing Coordination The candidate should understand architectural coordination of:

- Lighting points
- Switch points
- Power points
- Electrical layouts
- Ceiling/RCP coordination
- Electrical requirements with room layouts
- Electrical requirements in rooftop areas where applicable

Note: The role requires architectural electrical layout coordination. Candidates are not expected to replace a specialist electrical engineer unless specifically assigned.

Preferred Project Experience: Preference will be given to candidates who have worked on:

- Luxury villas
- Farmhouses
- Premium residential projects
- Independent houses
- Second-home projects
- Contemporary residential architecture
- Roof and façade design
- Construction/detail drawings
- Site coordination

Software Mandatory:

- AutoCAD 2D

Preferred:

- Google SketchUp
- Lumion
- Enscape
- D5 Render

Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate should be capable of taking a project through:

Architectural Concept → Roof Concept → AutoCAD 2D → Roof/Rooftop Drawings → Plans/Elevations/Sections → Electrical Coordination → 3D Model → Design Development → Site Coordination

The candidate should have a strong portfolio demonstrating actual residential, villa or farmhouse architectural projects.

- Qualification & Experience B.Arch / M.Arch Mandatory
- 4–8 years of relevant architectural experience
- Strong experience in residential architectural design and documentation
- Solid portfolio of architectural projects

Portfolio Requirement: Candidates should share relevant examples of:

- Roof concepts
- Roof plans and sections

- AutoCAD 2D drawings
- Electrical layouts/coordination drawings
- Plans, elevations, and sections
- Villa/farmhouse projects
- 3D architectural models

Candidates with strong hands-on experience in Roof Concepts + AutoCAD 2D + Feet & Inches + Rooftop Drawings + Electrical Drawing Coordination + 3D Architectural Drawings will be preferred.
