Position: Quality Engineer

Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech – Mechanical / Production Engineering

- Job ResponsibilitiesInspect incoming raw materials, components, and finished products as per quality standards.
- Monitor production processes and ensure compliance with approved quality procedures.
- Conduct in-process and final inspections using appropriate measuring instruments.
- Identify quality defects, analyze root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Prepare and maintain inspection reports, quality records, check sheets, and other documentation.
- Coordinate with Production, Purchase, Stores, and Engineering departments to resolve quality-related issues.
- Handle customer complaints and support corrective action activities.
- Conduct first-piece, in-process, and final inspections.
- Ensure products meet customer specifications, drawings, and applicable quality standards.
- Support internal audits, supplier quality activities, and process improvement initiatives.
- Monitor rejection, rework,



and scrap and take corrective action to reduce quality losses.
- Maintain calibration records for measuring and testing equipment.
- Promote continuous improvement and 5S practices in the workplace.
- Required SkillsGood knowledge of quality inspection and manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of 7 QC Tools, CAPA, Root Cause Analysis, 5 Why, and Fishbone Analysis.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, and other inspection tools.
- Valuable communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Basic knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management System is preferred.
- Working knowledge of MS Excel and quality documentation.
- Key Performance AreasReduction in rejection and rework.
- Maintaining product quality and customer requirements.
- Timely closure of quality issues.
- Accurate inspection and documentation.
- Continuous improvement of manufacturing processes.
