Job OverviewWe are looking for a B.Sc. Chemistry graduate who can handle chemical formulation, production, quality control, R&D; and production process management across our Agrochemical and Automotive Car Care & Coatings businesses.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable working hands-on at the production level, understanding chemical formulations, operating and monitoring mixing/blending processes, maintaining batch records, troubleshooting production issues and developing/improving products.

This is a multi-functional technical role, combining Chemistry + Production + Formulation + Quality Control + Process Improvement.

- Key Responsibilities1. Chemical Formulation & Product DevelopmentAssist in development and improvement of agrochemical formulations.
- Assist in development of car-care chemicals, coatings, cleaners and related automotive chemical products.
- Conduct laboratory trials and pilot batches.
- Maintain formulation records and product specifications.
- Conduct compatibility, stability and performance testing.
- Improve formulations for quality, cost, performance and production feasibility.
- Research and evaluate suitable raw materials and additives.
- 2. Production & ManufacturingSupervise and coordinate day-to-day chemical production activities.
- Prepare and maintain batch manufacturing records.
- Ensure correct weighing, mixing, blending and processing of raw materials.
- Monitor production parameters such as temperature, mixing time, sequence of addition, viscosity, pH, density and appearance as applicable.
- Identify and resolve production/process problems.
- Reduce material wastage and improve production efficiency.
- Coordinate with production workers/operators and ensure processes are followed correctly.
- Ensure proper cleaning and maintenance of production equipment.
- 3. Production Engineering / Process ImprovementDevelop and maintain SOPs and production processes.
- Prepare batch sheets and process instructions.
- Study production processes and identify bottlenecks.
- Improve mixing, dispersion, filtration, filling and packaging processes.
- Help select and optimize production equipment according to product requirements.




- Monitor batch yield and production losses.
- Maintain records of production output, rejection and wastage.
- Assist management in scaling laboratory formulations to commercial production.
- Troubleshoot batch failures and implement corrective actions.
- 4. Quality ControlTest incoming raw materials and finished products as required.
- Check parameters such as pH, viscosity, density, appearance, moisture and other product-specific specifications.
- Maintain QC records and test reports.
- Ensure finished products meet approved specifications before dispatch.
- Investigate quality complaints and production deviations.
- Coordinate with external laboratories when specialized testing is required.
- 5. Raw Material ManagementUnderstand chemical raw materials, their properties and applications.
- Assist in identifying alternative raw materials and suppliers.
- Check incoming raw materials against specifications.
- Maintain raw-material specifications and technical documentation.
- Monitor raw-material consumption and production requirements.
- 6. Documentation & ComplianceMaintain:

- Batch Manufacturing Records
- SOPs
- QC reports
- Raw-material specifications
- Product specifications
- Trial reports
- Production reports
- MSDS/SDS and technical documentation
- Follow required chemical handling, storage and workplace safety procedures.
- Ensure production activities are properly documented and traceable.
- 7. Team CoordinationCoordinate with production workers, QC, purchase, stores and management.
- Train production staff on correct manufacturing procedures.
- Ensure workers follow batch instructions and safety procedures.
- Report production issues, quality issues and material requirements to management.

Required QualificationB.Sc. Chemistry – Mandatory

Preferred:

- M.Sc. Chemistry
- Industrial Chemistry
- Chemical formulation experience
- Production/chemical manufacturing experience

ExperiencePreferred: 1–5 years in any of the following:

- Chemical manufacturing
- Agrochemical formulations




- Specialty chemicals
- Paints/coatings
- Automotive chemicals
- Car-care products
- Detailing chemicals
- Adhesives/sealants
- Formulation R&D;
- Chemical production

Freshers with strong practical chemistry knowledge may also be considered, particularly if they are willing to work hands-on in production and learn quickly.

Important RequirementThis is not a desk-only laboratory position.

The candidate must be willing to work directly with production, formulations, raw materials, machinery/processes and workers.

The person will be expected to gradually take ownership of:

R&D; → Formulation → Trial Batch → Production Process → QC → Batch Documentation → Process Improvement
