Job Overview
We are looking for a senior professional with strong experience in Capital Markets, Trade Operations or Trading Operations, with hands-on exposure to Equity and Derivatives markets.
The role involves managing day-to-day trading operations, leading an operations team, coordinating with internal Technology and Business teams, and ensuring smooth and controlled execution of trading and post-trade activities.
The professional will also be responsible for UAT, functional testing, requirement analysis, defect tracking and implementation of system enhancements, along with supporting regulatory and exchange-related requirements.

Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day Trade/Trading Operations and ensure activities are completed accurately within defined SLAs.
Lead the operations team, including work allocation, monitoring, guidance and team development.
Oversee trading and post-trade activities including order/trade processing, reconciliation, settlement and operational controls.
Participate in UAT and functional testing, including reviewing test scenarios, identifying gaps, tracking defects and supporting UAT sign-off.
Review BRDs, business requirements, functional specifications and impact analysis for new initiatives and system changes.
Coordinate with Technology, Development, Testing and Business teams for system enhancements and production issues.
Support SEBI, regulatory and exchange-related audits/inspections and ensure timely closure of observations and requirements.
Coordinate with external stakeholders including exchanges,



clearing corporations, banks, depositories and other market participants.
Identify operational gaps, conduct risk/process analysis and drive process improvements.
Review and maintain SOPs, operational manuals, MIS reports, checklists and process documentation.
Handle operational incidents, escalations and trade-related queries, ensuring timely investigation and resolution.
Support implementation of regulatory changes and market-related requirements across operational processes.
Ensure appropriate controls are maintained across trading operations and related systems.

Requirements
12–16+ years of experience in Capital Markets, Trade Operations, Trading Operations or Securities Market Operations.
Strong understanding of Equity, Equity Derivatives, Currency Derivatives and/or Commodity Derivatives.
Mandatory experience in team management and operational leadership.
Hands-on experience in UAT, functional testing and business/application testing.
Solid understanding of BRDs, functional requirements, test scenarios, defect management and SDLC processes.
Experience coordinating with IT/Technology, Development, QA and Business teams.
Exposure to SEBI regulations, regulatory audits/inspections and exchange-related operations.
Good understanding of trade lifecycle, reconciliation, settlement and operational controls.
Strong analytical, communication, problem-solving and stakeholder-management skills.
Candidates with stable career history and relevant experience in Capital Markets / Securities Market Operations will be preferred.
