Sr Technical Manager — AI & Cloud Solutions (AWS)

Customer-Facing Solutions & Pre-Sales • AI on AWS • Collaborative Delivery

ROLE OVERVIEW

A senior, customer-facing role that brings together solution architecture and pre-sales. The core responsibility is to engage customers, shape AI-on-AWS solutions, and support the sales team in winning business. It calls for strong working knowledge of AWS and AI — enough to advise credibly and design at a solution level — rather than deep hands-on development. Delivery is led jointly with the team's technical leads, who manage day-to-day execution, making this a guiding and enabling role to ensure projects are delivered on time and with quality.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Customer-Facing Solutioning — Engage customers as the trusted technical advisor, shape AI-on-AWS solutions at an architecture level, and partner with sales to scope opportunities and help close deals.

- Demos & POCs — Present clear, persuasive demos and proofs-of-concept that show AI on AWS in action and connect it to business value.

- Delivery, with the Team — Set technical direction and stay close to engagements, while the team's technical leads own day-to-day project execution.





- AI Storytelling — Explain AI concepts and AI on AWS simply for both technical and business audiences, from executive briefings to working sessions.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

- Customer & Pre-Sales — Proven experience in customer-facing and pre-sales roles, comfortable influencing decisions and assisting in sale closures (a must-have).

- AWS & AI Knowledge — Solid working knowledge of AWS architecture and of AI on AWS, including Amazon Bedrock and GenAI concepts — enough to shape solutions and speak credibly. Must be able to use AI and build quick prototypes for presales engagements.

- Communication — Able to articulate AI and cloud topics clearly and persuasively to a range of audiences.

- Collaborative Delivery — Experience guiding technical projects alongside team leads, rather than personally owning all project management.

POSITIVE TO HAVE

- AWS certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect Professional, ML Specialty).

- Exposure to MLOps / LLMOps, data platforms, and enterprise security & compliance.

- Industry-specific solution experience relevant to target customers.

Note: Formal project-management certifications (PMP, etc.) are not required for this role.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

- Willingness to travel as needed for customer meetings, demos, and delivery engagements.
