The Role

As a Video Editing Intern, you will work across political campaigns, candidates, political parties and brands under SOR Group. You will work with footage, briefs and creative concepts to produce videos for different platforms and objectives.

The role requires more than technical editing. You will be expected to understand the context, message and purpose behind each video and translate that into an effective final output.

Responsibilities

Video Editing

- Select, cut and edit footage based on the brief, communication objective and target audience.
- Turn raw footage and concepts into complete videos using appropriate editing software, formats and techniques.
- Edit Reels, social media content, campaign videos and marketing content across different formats.
- Work with footage from different sources and adapt edits for different platforms and requirements.

Understanding the Brief

- Understand the concept, message,



audience and objective before beginning an edit.
- Collect required footage, assets and information from the relevant team members.
- Ask questions and clarify requirements where necessary.

Political & Brand Content

- Work across political campaigns, candidates, political parties and commercial brands.
- Adapt editing style, pacing, messaging and treatment to suit different briefs.
- Maintain professional neutrality when working on political content.

Execution & Coordination

- Deliver edits within timelines while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
- Incorporate feedback and make revisions efficiently.
- Keep the team updated on progress, changes, requirements and delays.

What We Expect

- Strong attention to detail across footage selection, cuts, pacing, audio, transitions and overall quality.
- Valuable visual judgement and an understanding of what makes content engaging.
- Creativity within the requirements of a brief.
- Ability to work quickly without compromising the quality of the final output.
- Familiarity with relevant video editing software and willingness to learn new tools and techniques.
- Comfort working across different content styles, formats and platforms.
- Professional neutrality when working on political content.
- Clear communication and reliable follow-through.

Who Will Do Well Here

Someone who is creative, quick, detail-oriented and adaptable, with an interest in understanding the story and purpose behind the content they edit. You should be comfortable working across both political and brand content, able to take feedback and make decisions independently, and interested in improving your craft through real projects and real deadlines.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
