JOB DISCRIPTION QUALITY MANAGEMENT SERVICES
DESIGNATION MANAGER
REPORTING TO PLANT HEAD OR QUALITY HEAD
QULIFICATION BE / BTech / Diploma in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering
EXPERIENCE - 812 years of experience in Quality, with at least 35 years in QMS role & Certified Internal Auditor / Lead Auditor (preferred)
PURPOSE
To establish, implement, maintain, and continuously improve the Quality Management System in line with ISO 9001 / IATF 16949, EMS 14001 & OHAS 45001 requirements, ensuring compliance, customer satisfaction, and continual improvement across all plant functions.
Key Responsibilities
1. QMS Implementation & Maintenance

- Develop, implement, and maintain the QMS as per IATF 16949 / ISO 9001, EMS 14001 & OHAS 45001 standards.
- Ensure all processes, procedures, and work instructions are documented, controlled, and updated.
- Monitor QMS effectiveness and drive continual improvement initiatives.

2. Internal & External Audits

- Plan and conduct internal audits and process audits as per audit calendar.
- , certification, and regulatory audits.

- Ensure timely closure of audit findings with root cause analysis and corrective actions.

3. Management Review & Reporting

- Prepare and present MRM (Management Review Meeting) data.
- Track KPIs related to quality performance, audit results, customer complaints, and improvements.
- Ensure follow-up and effectiveness verification of MRM action points.
- Ensure the daily, monthly KPI review and its action plan closure along with Plant head
- Ensure monthly performance data of each department as per set targets
- Strong reporting to corporate quality management system head

4. Customer & Compliance Management

- Ensure compliance with customer-specific requirements (CSR)
- Support customer audits, concerns, and improvement activities
- Coordinate corrective and preventive actions related to customer complaints.




- Ensure legal compliance, safety audit compliance of third part as well as internal

5. Continuous Improvement & Risk Management

- Drive risk-based thinking, PFMEA, process audits, and system improvements.
- Promote use of QC tools (7 QC tools, SPC, problem-solving techniques).
- Support kaizen, cost reduction, and productivity improvement initiatives.
- Ensure the kaizen and QCC sustenance
- Ensure the TPM activity and actual implementation of TPM on shop floor

6. Training & Awareness

- Plan and conduct QMS, EHS & OHAS-related training and awareness programs for all levels.
- Ensure employees understand QMS requirements, quality policy, and objectives.
- Internal awareness trainings on system, Quality improvement, general shop activity, company rules and regulations

7. Document & Change Management

- Control QMS documents, records, and revisions.
- Ensure proper implementation of change management for processes and documents.
- Maintain document traceability and record retention.

8. Cross-functional Coordination

- Work closely with Production, Engineering, SCM, Maintenance, and Safety teams.
- Support APQP, PPAP, and current project launches from a QMS perspective.

Key Skills & Competencies

- Strong knowledge of IATF 16949 / ISO 9001, EMS 14001, OHAS45001 & EnMS 50001
- Expertise in audits, problem solving, and root cause analysis
- Leadership, coordination, and communication skills
- Analytical mindset and data-driven decision making
- Exposure to automotive customer requirements
- Excellent presentation preparation and explanation
- Strong Automotive Processes knowledge
- Fitment, function and performance of product

Authority & Accountability

- Authority to stop processes in case of major QMS non-compliance
- Responsible for QMS compliance score, audit performance, and certification status
- Accountable for timely closure of all QMS-related actions
- Main support to plant team, quality head and plant head
