Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Cost Accountant to manage cost accounting activities, monitor manufacturing costs, support budgeting and inventory valuation, and provide financial insights to improve operational efficiency and profitability. The ideal candidate should have robust knowledge of manufacturing processes, product costing, and ERP systems.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and maintain product costing, BOM costing, and standard costing.
- Analyze manufacturing costs, material consumption, labor costs, and overheads.
- Monitor production variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Perform inventory valuation and reconciliation of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
- Conduct monthly cost analysis and profitability analysis by product, customer, and business segment.
- Prepare cost sheets and support pricing decisions.
- Coordinate with Production, Stores, Purchase, and Supply Chain teams to ensure accurate cost data.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost control initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards,



statutory requirements, and internal controls.
- Assist in monthly and annual financial closing activities.
- Prepare MIS reports and present cost analysis to management.
- Drive cost optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

- CMA/CA (Cost & Management Accountant) Mandatory..

Experience

- years of relevant experience in a manufacturing industry.
- Experience in engineering, automotive, industrial products, or heavy manufacturing is preferred.

Technical Skills

- Strong knowledge of Cost Accounting and Manufacturing Accounting.
- Experience in Standard Costing, Product Costing, and Variance Analysis.
- Knowledge of Inventory Accounting and Stock Valuation.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP (FI/CO/MM), Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
- Advanced MS Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Power Query preferred).
- Experience in MIS reporting and budgeting.
