SDET (software development engineers in test)

Experience Required - 7 to 12 Years

Location - Indore/ Pune/ Bangalore

Technical Requirements and Role Clarification

1. Testing focus: Data validation and pipeline testing, not API/backend automation
2. Heavy-weight testing similar to development work
3. Validating data transformations built by others
4. More execution-focused than framework building
5. Tech stack: Azure Data Factory, Databricks, PySpark/Python coding
6. Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines
7. SQL knowledge expected for data engineers
8. No data generation, lineage tracing, or monitoring required
9. Experience level: 7-10 years individual contributors
10. Not looking for managers, want hands-on technical people
11. One person with slight team lead experience preferred for future scaling
12. Role positioning: Will be called testers” organizationally
13. Open to training QA processes but cannot teach coding fundamentals
14. Must understand data engineering concepts and pipeline review
