Job Title: Mechanical Assembly Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a Diploma Mechanical Engineer to handle the mechanical side of our electronics products assembling enclosures and sub-assemblies, and coordinating with our sheet metal fabricators and mechanical parts suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

- Assemble mechanical parts, enclosures, panels and brackets for electronic products
- Carry out basic mechanical work in-house: drilling, cutting, filing, grinding, tapping, deburring and fitting
- Operate and maintain workshop hand tools and machines safely
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings; prepare and modify basic 2D/3D drawings
- Work with sheet metal fabricators and mechanical parts suppliers share drawings, follow up on jobs, and inspect incoming parts against drawings
- Support the design team with fit checks, prototype assembly and simple design improvements
- Maintain assembly records,

Required Skills

- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- Basic working knowledge of SolidWorks, AutoCAD or Creo
- Good hands-on ability with workshop tools drilling, grinding, cutting machines and hand tools
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and understand tolerances, fits and fasteners
- Basic mechanical design knowledge (sheet metal parts, enclosures, hardware selection)
