Role & responsibilities

- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons aligned with the school curriculum.
- Build strong foundational skills in English/literacy, numeracy, communication and critical thinking.
- Create a protected, inclusive and positive classroom environment.
- Manage classroom behaviour using positive-discipline strategies.
- Prepare daily and weekly lesson plans and teaching resources.
- Use activity-based, experiential, inquiry-based and collaborative learning approaches.
- Integrate technology, interactive resources and teaching aids into lessons.
- Conduct formative and summative assessments and maintain accurate student records.
- Track each childs academic, behavioural, emotional and social development.
- Provide remedial/enrichment support according to individual learning needs.
- Encourage independence, confidence, good habits, values, etiquette and responsibility.
- Maintain an organized, stimulating classroom and display student work.
- Maintain attendance, portfolios, observation records, report cards and other documentation.




- Communicate regularly with parents about academic progress, behaviour and wellbeing.
- Attend PTMs and respond professionally to parent queries.
- Participate in assemblies, celebrations, field trips, competitions and other school activities.
- Collaborate with subject teachers, coordinators, counsellors and support staff.
- Attend staff meetings, professional-development programmes and training.
- Follow school policies, maintain confidentiality and act as a positive role model.

Preferred candidate profile

- Excellent spoken and written English.
- Strong classroom-management skills.
- Patience, warmth and empathy with young children.
- Knowledge of foundational literacy and numeracy.
- Good lesson-planning and assessment skills.
- Ability to use smart boards/digital learning tools.
- Strong parent and colleague communication.
- Cambridge/primary-school experience as an advantage, particularly because Bachupally offers Cambridge in the primary years.
