We're hiring an experienced US Taxation professional to lead a team handling complex individual tax returns (Forms 1040, 1040-NR, 1040-SR), with exposure to business, state, and international tax.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor & manage a team of US tax professionals
- Review complex individual (and where applicable, business/state/international) tax returns for accuracy & compliance
- Manage workload allocation, productivity, quality & TAT
- Act as escalation point for client/tax issues
- Ensure adherence to IRS regs & client-specific SOPs
- Coach team, drive performance reviews & training
- Support hiring/onboarding of tax staff
- Collaborate with US CPA firms & senior leadership
- Ensure smooth delivery during tax season
Requirements
- 6+ years in US Taxation (6–7+ preferred)
- 2+ years in a team lead/supervisory role
- Strong hands-on expertise in Forms 1040/1040-NR/1040-SR
- Solid knowledge of US federal & state tax; business/international tax exposure a plus
- Proven people management experience
- Proficient in US tax software & MS Excel/Outlook
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field
- MBA in Accounting & Finance preferred
- Skilled certifications an added advantage; CPA/Enrolled Agent (EA) preferred
