Job Description: Senior Software Engineer (Mobile Ecosystem)

We are seeking a high-performing Senior Software Engineer to design, scale, and optimize our mobile applications. In this role, you will own the technical architecture, cross-platform development, native modules, UI styling frameworks, and API integrations for our iOS and Android platforms. Experience in the Online Travel Agency (OTA) sector or e-commerce booking engines is highly preferred and will give candidates a distinct competitive advantage.

Role Overview

- Position: Senior Software Engineer (Mobile)
- Experience: 3+ years of qualified mobile development experience
- Core Stack: React / React Native, Redux/React Query/Mobx, Native iOS (Swift), Native Android (Kotlin), CSS/Styling Frameworks, and API Integration Engines

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Architecture

- Lead frontend and mobile project lifecycles from concept to final store deployment.
- Design robust, scalable, and high-performance client-side architectures.
- Mentor junior developers through code reviews, pair programming, and technical discussions.
- Align with product managers and UI/UX designers to scope features and build high-fidelity interfaces.

UI Engineering & Styling Frameworks

- Implement highly responsive layouts using advanced CSS-in-JS, Tailwind CSS, or Native StyleSheets.
- Build, maintain, and scale a reusable UI component library across web and mobile platforms.
- Ensure pixel-perfect execution of design specs with deep knowledge of flexbox, grid systems, and responsiveness.

API Integration & Data Orchestration

- Architect secure data layers using RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and real-time WebSockets.
- Manage complex data state, client-side caching, and payload optimization for low-bandwidth environments.




- Integrate complex third-party services, payment gateways, and vendor SDKs into the mobile application flow.

Performance Optimization & Debugging

- Diagnose and resolve complex production issues, memory leaks, and performance bottlenecks.
- Implement advanced debugging using Flipper, Chrome DevTools, Xcode Instruments, and Android Profiler.
- Optimize application rendering speeds, startup times, and offline local data storage.

Deployment & Lifecycle Management

- Manage the end-to-end release pipeline on Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
- Maintain provisioning profiles, signing certificates, and automated release tracks.
- Establish and scale CI/CD workflows alongside Over-The-Air (OTA) update systems like CodePush.

Required Technical Skills

UI, Styling & Frameworks

- CSS Frameworks & Systems: CSS3, Tailwind CSS, Styled Components, Emotion, and React Native StyleSheet.
- Core Frameworks: React Native, Redux, Redux Toolkit, and JavaScript/TypeScript.

API Integration & Networking

- Data Protocols: RESTful APIs, GraphQL (Apollo Client), and WebSockets.
- Network Tools: Axios, Fetch API, React Query / RTK Query, and Postman.

Native Development Platforms

- iOS: Xcode, Swift, Objective-C, UIKit/SwiftUI, and Core Data.
- Android: Android Studio, Kotlin, Java, Android SDK, and SQLite/Room

Testing & Automation

- Jest, Detox, Appium, XCTest, and Espresso.
- Fastlane and mobile CI/CD platforms (e.g., GitHub Actions).

Preferred Qualifications

- Domain Expertise: Prior experience building OTA (Online Travel Agency) platforms, live booking engines, global distribution systems (GDS), or complex transactional e-commerce apps.
- Security & Compliance: Solid understanding of mobile security best practices, OAuth/JWT authentication, data encryption, and local caching strategies.
