Position: GM Operation

Location: Guwahati

Responsibilities:

- Oversee end-to-end manufacturing operations for Tablets, Capsules, Softgels, and packaging activities to achieve production targets while maintaining quality and delivery timelines.
- Ensure strict compliance with cGMP, WHO-GMP, regulatory requirements, SOPs, and applicable national and international guidelines.
- Lead and coordinate with QA, QC, Engineering, Production Planning, Supply Chain, Warehouse, HR, and other functions for smooth plant operations.
- Develop and monitor production plans, manpower utilization, equipment capacity, batch schedules, and operational KPIs.
- Monitor product costing, yield, productivity, material utilization, and manufacturing expenses to optimize operational costs.
- Identify opportunities to reduce process losses, minimize wastage, improve batch cycle time, and enhance overall manufacturing efficiency.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, operational excellence, Lean/Kaizen practices, and process optimization across manufacturing operations.
- Oversee equipment qualification, calibration, preventive maintenance, process validation, cleaning validation, and other validation activities in coordination with relevant departments.
- Provide technical oversight for new product introduction, technology transfer, scale-up, process optimization, and commercial manufacturing activities.
- Ensure effective investigation and closure of deviations, OOS/OOT, CAPA, change controls, market complaints,



and audit observations related to operations.
- Ensure plant readiness and compliance for regulatory inspections, customer audits, internal audits, and GMP inspections.
- Review manufacturing documentation, batch records, SOPs, logbooks, and other operational records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Lead, mentor, and develop production and operations teams while ensuring adequate manpower, training, competency, and discipline.
- Monitor plant safety, housekeeping, hygiene, environmental requirements, and compliance with EHS standards.
- Review operational performance through MIS, production reports, KPIs, and management review meetings, and implement corrective actions where required.
- Collaborate with senior management to establish annual operational objectives, capacity expansion plans, productivity targets, and strategic manufacturing initiatives.

Required Skills

- Robust knowledge of Solid Oral manufacturing machinery and equipment.
- Hands-on experience with Granulation, Tablet Compression & Coating equipment.
- Knowledge of Packing machines and packaging operations.
- Understanding of GMP compliance, documentation and audit readiness.
- Strong team handling, leadership and people management skills.

Required Qualification: - B.Pharm/M.Pharm/B.Sc/M.Sc - Chemistry
