- Handle end-to-end payroll accounting activities, including journal entries, accruals, provisions, and adjustments.
- Perform payroll reconciliations and resolve P&L; and balance sheet variances.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
- Ensure accurate posting of payroll-related transactions in the General Ledger.
- Handle and resolve client payroll accounting queries within defined SLAs.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, statutory requirements, and internal controls.
- Support internal and external audit requirements.
- Monitor payroll KPIs such as accuracy, turnaround time,
timeliness, and query resolution.
- Identify process gaps and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Accounting and Payroll Accounting.
- Hands-on experience in payroll reconciliation and journal entries.
- Good understanding of payroll processes and statutory components.
- Experience with payroll/ERP tools such as SAP, SAP ECP, BlackLine, UKG, or Cognos is preferred.
- Experience in a shared services or client-facing setting is preferred.
