Objective of Role

To ensure effective and reliable operation and maintenance of the District Cooling System (DCS) plant, including mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems, while optimizing energy consumption and plant performance.

To minimize downtime through effective monitoring, troubleshooting, maintenance planning, and coordination with relevant teams while ensuring prompt resolution of customer issues.

Pay Band

- Commensurate with qualifications and experience. (in the pay-scale of Rs.25,500-81,100)

Qualifications

- B.E. in Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering

Experience

- Minimum 1-3 years experience in relevant field.

Role Descriptions

- Should possess Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering from a recognized and reputed college / university.
- Mechanical: Operation & Maintenance of District cooling plants, large size chillers, centrifugal pumps, cooling towers, HVAC systems, etc.
- Electrical: Operation & Maintenance of HT panels and systems (33 kV, 11 kV), LT panels and systems (415V & below), Oil filled Transformers (33/11 kV, 11kV/415V), HT & LT motors, VFD drives etc.
- Instrumentation: Operation & Maintenance of BMS & SCADA system, troubleshooting & calibration of field instruments like RTDs, Flow meters, BTU meters, DPTs, etc.




- Oversee all the aspects of DCS plant operation & maintenance in the respective shift.
- Monitor system performance and make adjustments to optimize energy usage.
- Coordinate with relevant teams to schedule repairs, replacements or upgrades as needed to minimize downtime.
- Address the customer queries and resolve their issues promptly.
- Monitor water treatment program of the system.
- Analyze all load programs and perform required calculations to meet the performance standard and recommend improvements.
- Generate daily and weekly reports on system performance, maintenance activities, and energy consumption.
- Rotational shift duty and odd hour availability for the Plant issues.

Competencies Required

- Ability to work independently and make critical decisions under pressure.
- Good communication skills and teamwork orientation.
- Excellent computer skills in Microsoft office.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
