We are looking for an enthusiastic SoC Analyst (Entry Level) to join the CyboWatch Security Operations team. The role involves monitoring security alerts, identifying potential threats, performing basic investigation, and escalating incidents to senior analysts when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events on the CyboWatch SIEM platform.
- Perform initial analysis and classification of security alerts.
- Investigate suspicious activities using logs, IP addresses, domains and other security indicators.
- Escalate genuine or high-risk security incidents to senior analysts.
- Maintain accurate incident and investigation records.
- Follow standard SOC procedures, playbooks and escalation processes.
- Assist with incident response and basic threat investigation.
- Continuously learn about cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities and MITRE ATT&CK; techniques.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of Cybersecurity and Networking.
- Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, firewalls and common network concepts.
- Familiarity with Windows and Linux basics.
- Basic knowledge of SIEM, SOC operations and security logs is preferred.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Positive communication and documentation skills.
- Willingness to work in a 24×7 SOC environment / rotational shifts.
Education
- B.Tech/B.E. – Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity or related field
or
- BCA/MCA / equivalent qualification.
Good to Have
- Security+ / CEH / SOC Analyst certification or relevant training.
- Exposure to tools such as Splunk, ELK, Microsoft Sentinel, CrowdStrike Falcon, Log360, FortiSIEM or similar SIEM platforms.
- Basic knowledge of Python or scripting.
