Job Purpose: This position is responsible for providing exceptional service to customers, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive customer experience.

Responsibilities

Accounting Executive

- Maintain accurate financial ledgers, books of accounts, and commercial records.
- Process and account for provisions, accruals, and monthly financial adjustments.
- Manage customer billing, invoicing, debit notes, and credit notes.
- Monitor and control receivables, debtor ageing, and collection follow-ups.
- Handle Delivery Orders (DOs), amendments, validations, and related documentation.
- Perform customer, vendor, port, and General Ledger reconciliations.
- Process Letter of Credit (LC) transactions, clearing entries, and discrepancy management.
- Account for quality claims, penalties, premiums, interest charges, and contractual settlements.




- Monitor inventory ageing and coordinate with stakeholders for stock liquidation and control.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including TCS and other regulatory provisions.
- Respond to customer queries and resolve commercial and financial transaction issues.
- Prepare MIS reports covering sales, inventory, receivables, profitability, and business performance.
- Coordinate with Port Operations, Logistics, Finance, and Trading teams for smooth transaction execution.
- Support month-end and year-end financial closing activities.
- Conduct market mapping and identify potential customers and business opportunities.
- Gather market intelligence on pricing, competition, customer requirements, and industry trends.
- Support key account management and customer retention initiatives.
- Monitor mark-to-market (M2M) exposure and support risk management activities.
- Drive digitization and automation initiatives to improve commercial processes and reporting efficiency.
- Support internal and statutory audits by providing reconciliations, records, and documentation.

Qualifications

Qualification

- B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance)
- Knowledge of SAP systems preferred

Experience

- 2 to 4 years of experience in Commercial Operations, Accounting, Finance, Port Operations, Commodity Trading, Coal, Iron Ore, Metals, or Logistics businesses.
