Manager Maintenance & Facilities

Reporting To: Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Purpose of the Role

To ensure the efficient operation, maintenance, safety, and upkeep of all university infrastructure, facilities, utilities, and campus support services creating a safe and conducive setting for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

Key Result Areas (KRAs)

1. Campus Maintenance

- Preventive and corrective maintenance of academic buildings, hostels, administrative blocks, and common areas.
- Ensure maintenance requests are resolved within defined service levels.

2. Facilities Management

- Management of housekeeping, security, landscaping, and other campus services.
- Ensure uninterrupted campus operations especially for students
- Inventory management of all rooms

3. Utilities Management

- Optimize utility consumption and efficiency.
- Oversee running of Canteen with vendor (SODEXO) ensuring hygiene, food quality and quality compliance.

4. Health, Safety & Compliance





- Ensure compliance with fire safety, environmental, and statutory requirements.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections.

5. Infrastructure Projects Support

- Coordinate execution of renovation, maintenance and infrastructure improvement projects.
- Monitor project timelines and quality standards.

Staff

Supervise and management of staff listed below, ensuring productivity, discipline, and quality control.

- Security staff
- Canteen staff, repair of equipment of kitchen, monitor quality control etc
- Drivers and coordinate vehicle movement, including hiring of cabs, busses etc
- Organizing get togethers and events for a big gathering of 100 persons
- Lobby manager and guest management

Be adept with working on powerpoints and excel sheet, make trackers and decks, write briefs and minutes of conference.
